Why This Matters

VW has been losing ground in China to local EV brands. The ID.ERA 9X is a direct counter-attack — designed in China, for China, with specs that match or beat homegrown rivals like the Li Auto L9 and AITO M9. Pre-sales start March 30. Pricing is expected in the ¥300,000–¥400,000 range (approx. $41,400–$55,200 USD). Watch this space.
