Denza has launched a faster-charging version of its flagship N8L SUV in China, combining a 75.26-kWh second-generation Blade Battery with an 800-volt electrical architecture and unusually short claimed charging times.
The new Denza N8L Flash-Charging Edition is offered in two six-seat trims. The Premium model starts at approximately US$47,100 (RMB 319,800), while the Flagship model costs about US$51,600 (RMB 349,800). The dollar figures are approximate currency conversions and do not represent official U.S. pricing.
Fast charging is the central upgrade
The updated N8L uses BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery and an 800V flash-charging platform. Denza claims the battery can charge from 10% to 70% in five minutes and from 10% to 97% in nine minutes under suitable conditions.
Its 75.26-kWh battery provides a claimed 430 km (267 miles) of CLTC electric range. With a full tank and full charge, the plug-in hybrid’s combined range is rated at 1,550 km (963 miles). As always, real-world range and charging performance will vary with temperature, charger output, driving conditions, and test-cycle differences.
Three motors and 560 kW of system output
Power comes from a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine developed for plug-in hybrid duty, paired with three electric motors. The engine is rated at 152 kW, while total system output reaches 560 kW (about 751 hp). Sina Auto reports that the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in the three-second range.
The N8L also carries Denza’s DiSus-A body-control system, aimed at balancing ride comfort and handling in the large SUV.
A large, technology-heavy six-seat cabin
The N8L measures 5,200 mm long, 1,999 mm wide, and 1,820 mm tall, with a 3,075-mm wheelbase. Its 2+2+2 seating arrangement includes Nappa leather seats throughout, heated third-row seats, and second-row captain’s chairs with power adjustment, heating, ventilation, and massage.
Denza has filled the cabin with displays: a 50-inch augmented-reality head-up display, a 13.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a 17.3-inch central touchscreen, a 13.2-inch front-passenger display, a 17.3-inch rear entertainment screen, and a 9-inch camera-based rearview mirror. Other equipment includes a 50W wireless phone charger and an 11-liter refrigerator capable of heating or cooling its contents.
Driver assistance with lidar
Every Flash-Charging Edition receives BYD’s God’s Eye 5.0 driver-assistance package. The system uses one lidar unit and 30 additional vehicle sensors, supporting navigation-assisted driving in cities and on highways as well as automated parking. Drivers remain responsible for vehicle control and must follow the system’s operating limits.

The N8L Flash-Charging Edition reflects a broader shift in China’s premium plug-in hybrid market: large batteries and high-voltage charging are making PHEVs behave more like long-range EVs in daily use, while retaining a combustion engine for extended trips.
