Tesla has posted a stronger second-quarter delivery result. Autohome reports that Tesla produced more than 451,000 battery-electric vehicles globally in Q2 2026 and delivered more than 480,000, with Shanghai Gigafactory June deliveries reaching the highest level of the year.
The quarter showed year-on-year delivery growth of about 25% and a sequential increase of about 34%, according to the source report.

Shanghai remains central to Tesla’s global supply picture because it serves both China demand and export markets, making local output a useful indicator of the company’s regional momentum.
Why it matters
The result matters against a backdrop of intense Chinese competition. Tesla is still a volume benchmark, but domestic brands are forcing it to defend pricing, software and product cadence more aggressively.

Tesla’s Q2 delivery rebound shows scale is still a major advantage, even as China’s EV market keeps raising the pressure.
