Nio is turning the ES8 into a larger five-seat flagship for buyers who value space over a third row. Autohome reports that the five-seat Nio ES8 has launched with two trims, priced at RMB 382,800-422,800, or RMB 274,800-314,800 with Nio鈥檚 BaaS battery-rental plan.
The vehicle keeps the large ES8 body and 3,130 mm wheelbase, but reallocates the rear cabin toward reclining comfort, a very large trunk and a more lounge-like second row.

The five-seat ES8 also retains Nio鈥檚 900V architecture, dual-motor all-wheel drive and a 102 kWh battery pack, with CLTC range listed at up to 655 km.
For international readers, the China-market range converts to approximately $40,437-$62,215 (RMB 274,800-422,800) at today’s approximate exchange rate.
Why it matters
Nio is answering a clear China-market trend: buyers want flagship SUV comfort and smart-driving hardware without always needing six or seven seats.

The five-seat ES8 gives Nio a direct answer to large premium family SUVs while preserving its battery-swap and BaaS differentiation.
