Mercedes is expanding the China electric GLC lineup beyond the first launch trim. Autohome reports that two additional electric GLC versions, Huiyin and Xingbo, are expected to launch and deliver before the end of the year.
The Huiyin version has opened presales from RMB 299,900, while the Xingbo version starts from RMB 388,800. The already launched Liujin version starts from RMB 339,800.
Mercedes says the three versions share the same core three-electric system, all-wheel-drive setup and chassis foundation, with differences focused on seating, comfort, technology and family-use equipment.
For international readers, the quoted China-market range converts to approximately $44,250-$57,367 (RMB 299,900-388,800) at today’s approximate exchange rate.
Why it matters
The electric GLC is important because Mercedes needs a familiar luxury SUV nameplate to carry more of its EV volume in China.
More versions should help the electric GLC address different family and luxury-use cases without changing the core vehicle.
