BMW is preparing the next 3 Series performance bridge while borrowing visual ideas from its electric future. Autohome reports that the new BMW 3 Series M350 has been photographed testing, with production expected in November 2026.
The prototype uses a front-end treatment close to BMW’s Neue Klasse language and the upcoming electric i3, but it keeps the long-hood, rear-drive proportions of a combustion 3 Series.

Power is expected to come from an upgraded B58 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six making more than 294 kW, paired across the range with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Why it matters
BMW has to modernize the 3 Series without making it feel like a compromised EV imitation. The M350 appears to keep a classic sport-sedan mechanical layout while adopting the new family face.

The M350 should become an important emotional anchor for buyers who still want a combustion performance sedan in BMW’s next design era.
