Toyota has opened Japan orders for a Corolla Sport 60th Anniversary edition. The special hatchback marks 60 years of the Corolla nameplate and starts from 3.438 million yen, which Autohome converts to about 143,700 yuan.
Design changes
The edition uses a black-and-mustard-yellow two-tone paint scheme as its signature look, while more subdued black and white colors are also available. It also adds a 60th Anniversary badge on the fender and new 18-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the model receives leather and suede-like seat upholstery, two-tone trim, silver accents, a 60th Anniversary mark on the dashboard, aluminum pedals and sport seats.
Powertrain
Toyota has not changed the drivetrain. The car uses a 1.8-liter hybrid system with 103 kW combined output, a CVT and front-wheel drive. In Chinese yuan terms, the starting price is approximately 143,700 yuan (21,194 USD).
