Changan Qiyuan has revealed the Q06, a new mid-to-large electric SUV scheduled to launch in September. The model is based on Changan’s SDA Tianshu architecture and will offer LiDAR-backed driver assistance across the range.

Dimensions and chassis

The Q06 measures 4,837 mm long, 1,970 mm wide and 1,670 mm tall, with a 2,940 mm wheelbase. The chassis uses an aluminum front double-wishbone and rear five-link suspension.

The SUV also gets a roof-mounted LiDAR unit, semi-hidden door handles, roof rails and a full-width rear light treatment. Changan says the model will use its Tianshu navigation driver-assistance system.

Length / width / height 4,837 / 1,970 / 1,670 mm
Wheelbase 2,940 mm

Powertrain

The Q06 is pure electric. Dual-motor versions use 165 kW front and rear motors, while single-motor versions are rated at 225 kW and 245 kW. The model uses lithium iron phosphate batteries.

Changan positions the Q06 around the 200,000 yuan class, filling the gap between the brand’s smaller Q05/Q07 SUVs and higher-end E07.
