Chery is reviving its legendary QQ moniker for the electric era. The all-new Chery QQ3 is set to officially launch on March 30, 2026. While it retains the compact, city-friendly footprint of its predecessor, this new EV is packed with advanced technology, including a full AI smart cabin and city-level autonomous driving features.

Retro-Modern Exterior

The new QQ3 blends modern minimalist EV styling with nostalgic elements from the original QQ series. The front fascia features rounded LED daytime running lights inside oval housings, maintaining that “cute” aesthetic but executing it with premium materials.

Dimensions are firmly in the subcompact segment: 4,195mm long, 1,811mm wide, and 1,569mm tall, with a 2,700mm wheelbase. It rides on either 16-inch or 17-inch aerodynamic wheels with semi-hidden door handles.

Interior: The “Lingxi” AI Smart Cabin

The interior is where the QQ3 punches far above its weight class. The dashboard is dominated by a 15.6-inch 2.5K multimedia touchscreen, complemented by a full digital instrument cluster and a stylish two-tone steering wheel.

The cabin runs on Chery’s new AI Lingxi Smart Cabin system, featuring deep AI voice integration, wireless phone charging, and a 256-color rhythmic ambient lighting system.

City NOA in a Budget EV?

The most shocking inclusion is the Falcon 500 (Lieying 500) advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). Chery claims the QQ3 will support City NOA (Navigation on Autopilot), full-scene automated parking, and city memory pilot. Offering this level of autonomy in an entry-level subcompact EV is unprecedented.

Powertrain and Specs

Power comes from a single front-mounted electric motor producing 58kW (approx. 78 hp), paired with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack from Gotion High-Tech. Top speed is capped at 125 km/h, perfectly suited for its intended urban environment.

Why It Matters

The original Chery QQ mobilized a generation of Chinese drivers. The 2026 QQ3 aims to democratize advanced AI and autonomous driving for the masses. If the price is right, this could be the ultimate city car.
