The Chinese budget EV market continues to produce staggering numbers. Geely Galaxy has officially announced that its popular compact EV, the Geely Xingyuan (also known under the Geome brand), has surpassed 600,000 cumulative deliveries. To celebrate, the brand is rolling out a brand new colorway: Cherry Blossom Pink.

What makes this milestone so impressive? The pricing. The Geely Xingyuan starts at an incredible ¥68,800 to ¥98,800 (approx. $9,500 to $13,600 USD), making it one of the most accessible and value-packed EVs on the global market.

Fresh ‘Cherry Blossom Pink’ Aesthetic

Targeting younger demographics, the new “Cherry Blossom Pink” takes inspiration from the famous spring scenery of Hangzhou. The Xingyuan’s overall design is delightfully rounded and aerodynamic, featuring a closed front grille, unique teardrop headlights, and flush door handles.

It sits firmly in the subcompact category with dimensions of 4,135mm long, 1,805mm wide, and 1,570mm tall, paired with a 2,650mm wheelbase. It’s the perfect size for tight urban environments while still offering excellent interior space.

Flyme Auto: Premium Tech in a Budget Car

Despite its sub-$10k starting price, the Geely Xingyuan is built on the advanced GEA New Energy Architecture and features the highly praised Flyme Auto smart cabin system (developed in partnership with Meizu).

The dashboard boasts a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel and up to a 14.6-inch floating central touchscreen. The interface is buttery smooth, mirroring the smartphone experience—a rarity in this price bracket.

Surprisingly Spacious and Refined Interior

The interior comes in elegant color schemes like Mirror White, Starry Grey, and Reed Beige. The seats are well-bolstered, and the door panels feature intricate patterns and soft-touch materials that elevate the cabin feel far beyond its budget segment.

Specs: 410km Range & Rapid Charging

The Xingyuan uses a rear-mounted single motor setup, available in 58kW or 85kW outputs. It comes standard with CATL battery cells and a liquid cooling temperature control system. Buyers can choose between 310km and 410km driving ranges.

Crucially, it supports a 1.66C maximum charging multiplier. This means fast charging from 30% to 80% takes only 21 minutes, and a quick 10-minute top-up can add 120km of range.

Why It Matters

The Geely Xingyuan’s 600,000-unit milestone proves that affordable, high-tech EVs are not just a concept—they are a mass-market reality in China. By offering Flyme Auto, CATL batteries, and fast charging for under $10,000 USD, Geely is setting a benchmark that legacy automakers in the West are struggling to match.
