Aito appears to be preparing a cheaper way into the M6 range-extender lineup. Autohome reports that the latest MIIT filing includes new Aito M6 EREV variants with a 1.5T engine and single electric motor.
Current M6 range-extender models use dual motors and are priced at RMB 259,800 and RMB 279,800. The new single-motor filing points to a more accessible trim while retaining the same 4,960 mm length and 2,950 mm wheelbase.

The filing also lists optional roof LiDAR or in-cabin LiDAR, 20- and 21-inch wheel choices, and battery packs of 51.975 kWh and 36.019 kWh depending on version.
For international readers, the quoted China-market range converts to approximately $38,333-$41,284 (RMB 259,800-279,800) at today’s approximate exchange rate.
Why it matters
Aito and Huawei-linked models compete heavily on assisted-driving perception, but the next growth lever may be lowering the price of entry without removing the technology story.

The new M6 filing suggests Aito wants to defend volume by making its range-extender SUV lineup more price-flexible.
