BYD is preparing to stretch the Qin family upward with a new midsize sedan. Autohome reports that BYD released teaser images of the Qin MAX on July 13.
The car has already completed MIIT filing and will offer both plug-in hybrid and pure-electric versions. BYD is also highlighting flash-charging capability.

With a 2,820 mm wheelbase, the Qin MAX is positioned above the Qin L, giving BYD another sedan layer in a market where the brand already has strong volume.
Why it matters
BYD’s challenge is now portfolio clarity. The Qin MAX can add size and technology, but it also needs to avoid overlapping too heavily with the company’s already broad sedan lineup.

The Qin MAX teaser shows BYD continuing to build more precise steps between its mass-market electrified sedans.
