BYD has published official images of a new large electric SUV provisionally known as the 8-Series Tang.鈥?It is expected to launch in China in the second half of 2026 and may sit above the Tang L on price.
Key specifications
The SUV measures 5,045 mm by 1,980 mm by 1,760 mm and rides on a 2,950 mm wheelbase. China filing data lists a 300 kW single rear motor and a 250 km/h top speed.
BYD says the model will use its second-generation Blade battery and flash-charging system, targeting 850 km of CLTC range. DiSus-A air suspension and the God鈥檚 Eye B driver-assistance suite are also expected.
