Dongfeng Aeolus is reorganizing its new-energy product ladder around the L series. Autohome reports that Dongfeng Aeolus has released previews for three new L-series NEV models due within the year.
The Aeolus L8Y is positioned around cabin comfort, the L8+ around higher-level driver-assistance hardware, and the L9 as a midsize-to-large seven-seat family SUV.

Autohome notes that the L8+ preview shows LiDAR and driver-assistance indicator lights, while current L7 and L8 reference models are already offered with electric or plug-in hybrid positioning depending on trim.
Why it matters
Aeolus needs clearer product segmentation as China’s value-oriented NEV market fills with compact and family SUVs. The L-series plan gives it a simpler way to explain comfort, smart driving and three-row utility.

The three-model teaser suggests Dongfeng Aeolus wants a more coherent NEV family rather than isolated launches.
