BYD鈥檚 Fang Cheng Bao brand is stretching plug-in hybrid electric range again. Autohome reports that the updated Fang Cheng Bao Tai 7 plug-in hybrid has appeared in the latest MIIT filing information.
The key change is a 50 kWh large-battery version. Autohome says WLTC pure-electric range can reach up to 230 km, giving the SUV stronger daily EV usability.

The body is largely unchanged in the filing, and Autohome notes that the model does not show a flash-charging badge in this application.
Why it matters
Longer electric range is becoming a simple but powerful selling point for Chinese PHEVs. It lets buyers treat the vehicle like an EV most days while keeping gasoline backup.

The Tai 7 filing shows BYD continuing to push PHEV range upward in lifestyle SUV segments.
