Hongqi is reinventing the H7 around a plug-in hybrid powertrain and a more new-energy design language. Autohome reports that blind-order benefits have opened for the new Hongqi H7 before presales begin on July 17.
The new H7 is now positioned as a plug-in hybrid midsize-to-large sedan, measuring 5,060 mm long with a 2,970 mm wheelbase. The cabin uses a 15.6-inch floating center screen and an 8295P cabin chip.

Equipment includes seat heating, ventilation and massage, wireless phone charging, rear seat comfort features, an onboard refrigerator and an 18-speaker Bose audio system.
Why it matters
For Hongqi, shifting a traditional executive sedan into a PHEV format is part of the broader move to keep legacy Chinese premium nameplates relevant in the NEV era.

The new H7 shows Hongqi using plug-in hybrid technology to modernize a familiar sedan badge.
