MG is turning concept-car theatre into a signal for its next global EV push. Autohome reports that the MG Go and MG Cyber concepts appeared at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed, with production versions expected around 2027.
The concepts matter because MG is no longer positioning itself only as a value export brand. It is also trying to build emotional products around design, performance and connected cabin experiences.

For overseas buyers, the timing is useful: a 2027 production target would land as Chinese brands continue expanding in Europe, the Middle East and Latin America with more distinctive EV portfolios.
Why it matters
Concepts do not guarantee specifications, but they often reveal where a brand wants attention. MG is clearly trying to make its electric identity more expressive and less price-led.

The Goodwood showing suggests MG wants its next product cycle to compete on personality as well as affordability.
