Polestar is preparing a more conventional SUV companion to the sleeker Polestar 4. Autohome reports that Polestar 4 SUV spy photos show a vehicle close to production form, with an official reveal scheduled for September 2.
Unlike the coupe-like Polestar 4, the SUV version uses a longer, more practical rear body and a large cargo area while keeping the brand’s split headlamp and full-width taillight signatures.
Power is expected to mirror Polestar 4, with rear-drive and all-wheel-drive versions rated around 200 kW and 400 kW respectively. CLTC range may stay close to the Polestar 4’s maximum 755 km figure.
Why it matters
Polestar needs higher-volume products that look distinctive but solve everyday family use cases. A more practical electric SUV is the obvious place to try.
The Polestar 4 SUV could become a more usable sales driver than the coupe-SUV that shares its name.
