A refreshed Range Rover has been spotted testing, and the electric version is the main story. Autohome reports that the facelift will continue gasoline and plug-in hybrid models while adding a pure-electric Range Rover.

The exterior changes appear restrained: the prototype keeps the current Range Rover’s overall shape while using camouflage around the headlamps, grille, front bumper and tail details. That suggests JLR is protecting the flagship’s visual identity rather than chasing a radical EV-only look.
What changed
Inside, the updated model may add a new curved central display while retaining many physical controls. That balance is important in a luxury SUV where buyers often expect new technology without losing quick access to core cabin functions.
The powertrain range is expected to remain broad, including 3.0-liter mild-hybrid gasoline engines, plug-in hybrid versions and a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8. The new electric version is reported to use a 112-kWh battery pack.
EV InnoTech take
Range Rover’s EV strategy looks deliberately conservative: keep the design language and luxury cues familiar, then add battery-electric propulsion as another flagship powertrain. That may be exactly what high-end SUV customers want during the transition.
