Zeekr is pushing its luxury strategy further into Southeast Asia. At the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show, the Zeekr 009 Grand and Zeekr 9X opened Malaysian presales at reported local prices equivalent to about US$145,629 (RMB 990,000) and US$194,172 (RMB 1.32 million).

Autohome notes that the Malaysian prices sit well above Chinese-market pricing, reflecting right-hand-drive adaptation, international logistics, local marketing and market-entry costs.
What changed
The strategy places the 009 Grand closer to top-end luxury MPVs such as the Lexus LM rather than treating it as a low-price Chinese export. That is a deliberate brand-positioning decision, not simply a currency conversion story.
Zeekr announced its 9-series global expansion strategy on June 18 and said the right-hand-drive 009 Grand is planned for Hong Kong in the fourth quarter of 2026. The brand has surpassed 800,000 cumulative deliveries, while the Zeekr 7X led Malaysia’s luxury electric SUV segment from January through May 2026, according to Autohome.
EV InnoTech take
Zeekr’s overseas challenge is no longer only product credibility. It is whether the brand can justify luxury-level export pricing with service, local adaptation and a retail experience that matches the numbers.
